MPS Online Registration

MPS Asks All 1-8 Grade Students to Register Online for 2019-2020

MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA – Montgomery Public Schools announced today that a new online registration system is open for students in first through the eighth grade. In most cases parents can register for school or update their child’s records from a smartphone or computer.

Superintendent Ann Roy Moore sees this as a way to make the registration process more convenient for parents and improve the accuracy of the information.

“When parents have to register at school, it creates problems for those who work and sometimes frustration at having to wait in line at school,” said Moore. “This provides parents with an easy to use process. With this new system, when a family moves, changes phone numbers or email addresses, it is easy for them to update their child’s record.”

New students will use this method to register for school. Current MPS parents with a student who will be in grades 1-8 for the next school year are asked to log on and confirm their address and other information. The online registration process will become mandatory for high school grades in the coming months. However, high school parents may use the site now to update their information.

“It is critical that parents update their information to ensure we are able to contact them with information about their child’s progress or in case of an emergency,” added Moore. “We hope parents will take advantage of this convenient way to register and update their contact information. We are asking our 1-8 parents to go online as soon as possible to complete the registration process. Even if nothing has changed, we need parents to confirm their information.”
